Both make some good units. I know alot of guys running fast with both. You can't go wrong with either brand.

I've personally owned both blowers and I like vortech over procharger. To me the support they offer is better and they don't try to nickel and dime you to death like procharger seems to do. But to the question at hand: IMO, not worth the extra money. Vortech makes a good product.

now....if i go with a 8-10 psi vortech, it says it should add about 140 horsepower or so....is this true?? or do they kind of up it a little bit????
what kind of horsepower gain am i looking at if i go with 24 lb. injectors, 70 mm. TB, bigger MAF, underdive pulley set, and an 8-10 psi vortech???? |

I all depends on supporting mods.
If you have say heads, cam, intake upper and lower, headers, exhaust you'll be looking at about 400+ at the wheels no problem with 8-9psi. With out all of that you might be in the mid to low 300s at the wheel.

I dont personally own a procharger or a vortech but my friend has a vortech in his 5.0 and he regrets every day of putting it in there. He said he would have much rather went with the procharger or what he really wants to do now it to twin turbo it. The twin turbos IMO put out much more bang for their buck and they really arent that hard to install
