Best Fox body buy.

Hi I'm new here and currently don't own a Mustang. Next year in the summer I want to buy a fox body for a project car. My initial budget will be about $6k. Most 5.0s where I live run $5k-$8k for one with about 90-110k miles. I found this 2.3 Lx auto on autotrader for $1500. Would it be a better option to buy this and rip out the engine and trans and drop in a 5.0 or maybe a crate engine?

Would a replacement from Jegs for $3120 be a good option?

u can buy the 4 cylender and then pick up an explorer engine and get it in for less than 6k and you should have money left for gears header........ all the little things that make a big difference

Stick with a original 5.0 .......if you have not owned a fox or any other mustang yet then ......

If you do...please do it right and not hack it up
