replacing steering wheel

Im looking to replace my stock steering wheel with one of the sparco wheels, what do i have to do to remove my stock one? I know that I will need an adapter/quick release from sparco for my mustang, but what else will i need? My stock wheel has an airbag, and cruise control, I was thinking that I could just relocate the cruise control buttons.
this is the one i am thinking of

Sparco USA
thanks

All you've gotta do is disconnect the wires going to the airbag or take the fuse out, then take the four small bolts out of the back (It's been a while since my '92 but if I remember right it's a 10mm hex head) of the airbag module, pull it off, and it's pretty much self-explanitory after that. There should be a 5/8" hex head bolt in the center, lock the wheel in place, take it out, the rest is just using a wheel puller and installing your new kit.

Just make sure you have the right installation kit from Sparco that adapts their 6-bolt pattern to a splined hub, I can't remember, but I think Fox's are 3/4" dia. steering shaft.

Good luck, should look great! I had a Grant GT wheel that looked somewhat like the Sparco you're gettin', and it came out fantastic. Try and retain the steering shaft shroud too, that also gives your aftermarket wheel a 'stock' appearance.

Here's a few pics of how mine came out in the '92, I'll fish around and see if I can find a pic of the 85' with it's new wheel too:

nice looking interior! thanks for the info to, i just didn't want to have an airbag deploying on me lol. but sparco doesn't make an adapter but I found that a momo wheel has the same bolt pattern and then make an adapter that costs 80 bucks to fit it into a fox. So that is what I will do when i get to that point. Gotta finish the rest of the interior first, steering wheel will be the last step...

Not long ago I found a MOMO wheel in, of all places, and antique store. I paid the guy $7.00 for it. It was a straight forward swap in my 92. I had previously put in a 1989 tilt column. Heck, most parts houses will even loan you a wheel puller to get the nut off the shaft. I added a small Ford logo off the 1989 steering wheel center. Be sure that you disarm the airbag before you go banging around, though.

ya most of the kragen's and autozones around here loan/rent out tools so that shouldn't be a problem. I am gonna stop by a sparco retailer sometime this week or next to look at the wheels in person to find one that feels nice, not to thick or thin. Then off to searching online for a good price lol...

95StangMX,
Your fender decoration made this old man's pacemaker open garage doors three blocks away! You gotta go easy on us senior citizens.

Seriously, she is one beautiful young lady. Congratulations on having someone like her in your life.

oh...lol...it took me a minute and had to look at my pic to figure out what you were talking about...and thanks she is a beautiful girl and she is just as great of a person as she is a looker....the car in the pic is actually being built by and for her to race...well for both of us but after one night at the local track in my truck she decided we needed to build a race car...the streets here are like ice so it wont see a lot of time on the streets just to the track and home and the occasional car show
