Fox body and front rattling, poping, & shifting suspenti

I just bought a 88' GT. The front end is really loose. It shifts, pops and rattles. But steers OK' for how much noise it is making, and corners decent if it doesnt shift on me. When I jack it up, and look at everything, it looks fine. But I havent had a chance to digg really deep yet. But when jacked up the tires dont wiggle. It all seems solid. It has new front sway bar bushings. Some bushings look a little old. But nothing major in appearance. They guy I bought it from has done the 5 lug conversion, and lowered it with new shocks and struts. Plus it has camber/caster plates. I have adjusted the camber plates, it helped a little. But the noises and shifting still happens. Anyone know of any weird qwerks I should look into? I was thinking that it was possibly A arm bushings, but not sure. The wheels dont wiggle, so I dont think it is wheel bearings.
