To carb or not to carb?

alright, i've been doing some research on the 351w i plan on getting someday to replace my "little guy." now the question is:

Carb'd or EFI? i heard carb makes more torque and is cheaper/easier to work on.. but efi gives more power and is economical.

so how much more power does efi hav over carb and how much easier/cheaper is it to use a carb over efi?

just depends on what you want to do with the car...lots of HP/TQ + track, you might want to go with carb, but otherwise you may want to stay with EFI.

it depends what the car is going to be used for. If you are going to drive it around and have some fun on the street I would say EFI. better gas milage more dependable. Carb if you are going to mainly drag it

Negative Ghost Ryder...

What about all the EFI cars that race in NMRA, NMCA, and all the Outlaw "heads up" classes?

When I choose to run EFI on my combo...people actualy laughed at me....untill I drove my car to the track and ripped off a few 6 second passes.

I personaly like the fact that I dont have to take anything apart on my car to change the fuel maps and timing curves. Just a couple of taps on the keyboard and its all good.
If you like pulling float bowls and changing jets everytime the weather changes...then a carb is a great idea.

Just my 2 cents.
