Lift off Hood

Is anyone a fan of lift off hoods? Are they easy to install? I have a chance to get one that is 5 minutes from my house for only 100 bucks fiberglass 5.5" cowl. I need the space for the big block swap.

I used zeus fasteners. Takes some time to line everything up initially but it gives a nice clean look when it's done. If you go that route let me know, I can give you some quick tips.

it really depends what brand it is. my buddy put one on his 91 GT and it was a cheapie. 3 months later after the NC heat got to it, it looked like shit all warped and crap

That holds true for bolt ons as well. Harwood is a good all around hood, high quality and priced reasonable.
