vortech bracket troubles.

Well I have my v2 strim going on my 93 gt. I had everything on last night down to the alternator and smog pump. Was trying to get it ready to start up on sat night. Well I was sliding one last long screw through the bracket, then into the alternator then goes back through the block then a nut threads on the end. Well I noticed the main main bracket doesn't line up with the whole in the block.

Here is were it slides through on the bracket it self

Here is were it is suppose to slide through on the block.

And here is the whole bracket

It lines up fine but as soon as I put other bolts in it pulls it away from the holes. I don't have a long screw to go through it yet. If I get a long screw and slide it in their before screwing anything else on, is their a possability it might work?

Did you try just threading the bolts in the other holes, loosely before tightening down? And you say you dont have the long bolt for that block to bracket hole yet?
I dont know a lot about this but i would say at least try that, if ya didnt and try to get your hands on that bolt.
If nothing else hopefully i bumped this and someone else can help you more. Good luck!

I might try to find a long bolt and slip it in, then tighten down the two short ones that hold the bracket down.

Cant hurt any and its worth a shot, just make sure the thread of the bolt matches, you dont want to mess up the thread in the block, unless ya got a tap then ya really have no worries.
