Trick Flow Street Heat

I am getting the complete thing from someone almost new. The only thing he don't have is the cly. heads. Any idea where I can get a set. I got the push rod, roller, I just need the head, or any other head that will work good with that kit.

Thanks

yeah, I check that out already, was wondering here, if there's any other heads will work good with that, I only pay like 800 for everything else, I dont want to pay no more than that for the heads, can I use the heads off the explorer, would it work?

You could use them but they dont compare to the TFS peices and wont utilize the cam and intake you already have.

Did you say you also have the roller rockers? If so, they wont work with the Exporer heads because they are set up for pedistal mount rockers.

If you shop around, you can get a set of used TFS or AFRs for around $800.

But come on... whats an extra couple of hundered buck when you can get them brand new?

this is the best time to learn, get a good manual, chilton/haynes etc some good tools and just read and do it slowly, you will be amazed at how easy working on cars are, they are just big puzzles with expensive pieces.

I'll look into that, I don't use this car at the track, mostly seeing streets. Maybe once in a while to the track just for fun.

If your willing to learn and have patience...you will have no problem doing it yourself.

Plus...you'll know alot more about your car and save a ton of money.

Yeah, I am up for that I dont mind buying the tools and everying else, the car is going to be parked up for about 5 months anyway for me to work on it. I start to get scared when it comes to piston to valve clearance and stuff like that. But I got a question, Say I do, do it on my own, I know theres only one way for everything to go. What about the tune up? I have to have one right, I can just go the the shop and have a dyno tune?

TFS Street Heat Top End Kit
Gripp Upper and Lower Control Arm
Gripp Subframe Connector
Gripp Caster/Camber Plates
Short Shifter
Engine Mount
4 Shocks
24lb injector
BBK Underdrive Pully
Tranny mount
3.73 Gear

This is all the sub I got to to install on my car while its parked up for the winter. The subframe, I have to take it to get it welded on.

So if its doing, and idiot proof I can do it. I am not that stupid lol.. I can do stuff I change spark plug, wires, oil chnage, etc..

i wouldnt change the gears out if you have never done it before! the rest of the stuff is pretty basic i guess, but there can be problems if gears arent installed right.

you should, definitely with the motor stuff. I just had my engine down to the heads last night and put it back together with help from my dad, and the Haynes manual. I dont know if those books go into depth about gears but if you really wanted to learn, Watch somebody do it and then have them supervise you.
