Transmission Question

I have a 1990 LX series Mustang. The problem is this, fluids is leaking from the aft end of the componet. I have replaced the Tailshaft Bushing, Tailshaft Seal and the driveshaft forward yoke; however, fluid is still present on the ground. Driveshaft is balance. Any solutions before I purchase a Heavy Duty T-5?

the "aft" end of the component huh? You must be a boat guy. +1 with the driveshaft yoke. I wouldnt go out and just purchase a new tranny before you find out whats wrong with your car now. and if you are dead set on a new one you should talk to e3sean he just switched his out for a c4 and might want to sell it

Yes the Forward driveshaft yoke was replace (the old yoke was worn), static leak measuring maybe less than a shot glass. I replaced the tailshaft brushing once and the tailshaft seal twice. Did not see a crack anywhere, I will be placing the car on stands to inspect again. I would say that it is more of a xmsn case problem. I worked helicopter in the Army (MH 530's, OH 58A/C, CH 54 Skycranes, etc.), currently modifying KC135 air refueler. Thank's for your inputs, I am very greatful!

may be leaking from somewhere else on the transmission (like shifter) and just working its way down to the back of the trans.

Otherwise, it is a crack.

After checking, I've found fluid seeping from the tailshaft seal at the 5:30 position. I wiped, waited and a drip within one minute. Thanks!
