I think clamps last a lot longer than welding on, specially aluminumized pipes. The parts that are welded takes away the aluminized coating and it tend to rust A LOT around the weld and it quickly becomes the weak point or a hole. I've had a flowmaster catback on my 91 for about 7 years now with SS clamps and there is nothing but a little surface rust on the muffler itself.

the only cars that look bad without tail pipes are like new edge gt's that have cut outs in the bumper for the exhaust.

foxes dont have cutouts and all look good with no tails.

I loved how my old 87 looked with the fat tips coming out the back. My 88 just looks so plain with no tails.. I don't like it

Or better yet, factory type ball and socket flanges. Leak proof seal and easy to get on and off when you need to......and you will need to.

dont dump it...you will love it for the first week then want to put pipes back on shortly after. there is a guy neat me that put electronic cut outs right after the muffeler it is pretty sweet not sure what it did for performance but he can make it loud or quiet at the flip of a switch.

No turn downs could cause you to boil your gas, performance will suffer and it could be dangerous and all that heat on the rear end will do some damage as well

Boil your gas? What lol... and idk why youd put cutouts after the mufflers, their suppose to be before so you bypass them. I guess he wanted the dumps sound effects. Me and my buddy both have fcams, he has dumps I have tail pipes. Mine cam sounds so much harder and better with tails, his is just really loud inside the car, and not to loud outside. Did I mention my car is really nice in the inside while idle and driving and I can hold a whispering convo if Id like.
