dry or wet 150 shot? sorry its being asked again but i havent been on in a while
so im lookin at sprayin either 125 or 150 shot.......now the question is wet or dry.....i know it has been discussed a lot on here but i dont remember what was said in the discussion......i remember there was a issue discussed about fuel puddling in the intake and causing BIG BOOM.....does this really happen a lot.....i would really rather shoot the wet shot if its possible.....but if i do go with the dry shot wat feul system components needed to be upgraded... Injectors, fuel pump?????.....any advice is great

A plate kit will eliminate fuel puddling.

Lol, don't let the name fool you... I've never actually ran a fogger in my car, I sold it before I ever put it in my car, so I can't give you any firsthand info. I have heard of numerous people having puddling issues with those kits, so it's not just someone blowing smoke up your ass. It could just be mis-use of the kit though. There are valleys in the upper intake that fuel can puddle in. I'm no expert on nitrous by any means, so maybe someone else can give you better advice, but I do know that a plate kit, like the one I currently have, eliminates this because it sandwiches between your upper and lower, leaving nowhere for the fuel to go but down into your cc's, so there are no worries about any puddling.

ZEX DRY KIT ! there's no fuel being sprayed in the intake therefore there wont be any puddleing issues there. plus it is the only nitrous kit on the market with a nitrous management unit that compensates for high or low bottle pressures making sure the nitrous/fuel ratio is always correct

the only way i could see fuel puddeling is if the selonid was bad.. i have a 100 shot soon to be 150 on a spray nozzel right after tht throttle body in the spacer. there is so much pressure coming from the nitrous that the fuel is sprayed into a mist instantly and sucked into the intake. so the only way i could see fuel "puddeling" is if your selonid on the fuel is leaking or if the n20 selonid doesnt open or if you have 0 pressure in the bottle or dont turn the bottle on..
you dont want to run a dry kit unless you are sure that your injectors are going to supply the extra fuel on demand. +1 on the plate i am going to get a plate here in the future.

no, everything you need is included with the kit. however i'd get a 255 fuel pump just to be on the safe side ( i'd get one no matter which kit you get ) and a set of autolite # 24 plugs just to be on the safe side. these aren't mandatory but are just cheap insurance.

I have a nitrous works kit with the throttle body plate like sean said and I've sprayed probably 20-30 bottles with out a single problem. Everything from 100-200 shot, Mostly 200's. I like wet kits alot but I've never had a dry

ive heard nothing but good from zex,. and their customer service is excellent if that means anything these days.. however any kit you buy will be fine if used properly. some are slightly better than others, some slightly more convenient to install,. but all will get the job done the same

i have herd good things about zex but unless you have a piggyback system or the proper burnt chip with a selector i wouldnt trust a dry kit. that is the biggest killer of nos engines is improper fuel mixture and detonation.

exactly why you should get the zex kit, it has a nitrous management unit that always insures you get a proper nitrous to fuel ratio , no other nitrous kit has that . you don't need a piggyback system at all.
