A compression test will tell you how well the engine
is building pressure while moving.

A better test is a leak down test which test the static sealing
of the rings and valves with the engine at rest.

Worn out engine can still make pressure, but leak down test will
tell you how well the rings are actually sealing.

If bad compression test, it means your rings are fried or your
valves are sticking open.
