That is all relative though. A naturally aspirated 302 that runs 10.70 is impressive, a naturally aspirated 347 that runs 10.70 is not. See what I mean? You sure can make an off the shelf cam work but a cam built around the car works much better. In some cases (like this one) I wouldn't recommend a custom cam because it doesn't sound like the owner is too serious about going fast. Custom is for those that want the most out of their set up and want an extremely efficient combination.

Ok, so im still learning this car so all the info im getting is great. Now explain to me this custom cam. I have no clue what im looking for heh.

So pretty much find a company that will do it, tell them my current setup and they'll make the best cam for me? where should I start looking? any worthy companies that people swear by?

Camshaft Innovations or Cam motion are a couple great places to start. Another, cheaper, alternative, if it hasn't been mentioned already, is to call a cam company and tell them your build and see what off the shelf cam they reccommend.

+1 with staying with the cam you have....spend the money on something else but if not and you are dead set on the cam +1 with jay camshaft innovations

Tell them your combo, gears, ect.. what you want out of the car RPM range, shift point, ect... and they will grind you a cam to match your specific specs.

Comp cams will also do customs
