LT headers
Hey guys, i was just looking into LT headers, i hear they make more HP is that correct? I have EQ headers now but they need replacing so i am thinking of going LT. (Or would you say it isnt worth getting a new H-pipe and switching to LT?)
What is a good brand to go with, and afforable if possible. I figured i would prob. just go with stainless and put the heat tape on them, or is that a bad idea? Also what do i do about my O2 sensors, do the headers have the holes in them or will i have to get a new H-pipe that is different from normal H-pipes or something? I know i would need a new H-pipe b/c mine or to long, unless i can just cut them or remount the flanges. But figuring i need a new H-pipe with the LT headers whats a good company to go with? If it matters i only drive this car in the summer and it will prob. be rapped with that heat tape, unless you guys dont recommend it. So i dont really care if they look pritty or not. Just wondering your opinion or experience in the matter. Thanks guys! - The Novice. |

There isnt a shit brick ton of hp to gain. if your under 400hp I would just get some replacements and put the money elsewhere.

what do you have done to the car? You are right, long tubes do make more power, but if you have stock H/C/I and arent spraying or boosting i wouldn't go through the trouble

you say you already have shorties right?...dont waste the time or money to change to longtubes. Its not easy and you are gonna have to change your midpipe. You wont notice any difference
