GT40P heads question
This is a question for Tmoss or anyone else that can answer this question. I have a set of 98 GT40P heads and on one of the exhaust runners there is a EGR port comming off of it. My question is since I am not running EGR, Can that port be blocked off with something like JB Weld or some form of epoxy so that exhaust gas doesnt flow through it??
Probably not the end of the world as far as performance loss but just wondering. Any thoughts??????? |

The best thing is if it is threaded then plug it with a steel or brass plug

Its not a threaded hole, it is a port that comes off of one of the exhaust ports. I wasnt sure if there was an epoxy that could withstand the temp of the exhaust gas. I know it wont make much of a diffrence since I am not using the EGR anyway, just wondering if anyone else has done this.

P heads don't have Internal EGR anything - the exhaust gas is taken off the headers like a SN Mustang.

P heads are not drilled for the air pump.
