2.5 inch cowl hood


i have been looking around for awhile for a 2.5 inch cowl hood...is it true that the paint wont match right with the rest of the car if i get a fiberglass hood?? and do they even make 2.5 inchcowl hoods in metal? i have only been able to find them in fiberglass..

if you recruit the right guy to do your fiberglass hood the paint will match just fine. Remember prep work on fiberglass is the most important. If it is not prepped right it will not look right. here is a link for a 2 inch steel cowl hood. dont know if they make 2.5 inch

Paint matching is dependent upon the person doing the work, not the parts being used.

I was wondering about this too...I want a carbon fiber one, but i cant seem to find it, do they even make one?

no i dont think they make a carbon fiber cowl i do know they make a stock style carbon hood.

It is a Glasstek. It has a nice ledge in the cowl that holds 2 5/8" gauges nicely.

There are companies that make Carbon Fiber hoods for fox bodies but they are very expensive.

I said that I have seen only one so far it was almost 600 bucks but it was of stock dimensions. Dont know if they make other styles
