Not trying to be a dick but sometimes you just need to take a break from it and come back with a clean mind. Usually, well in my case anyway the more I get pissed at something the greater chances the **** I am messing with is going to fail because of my stupidity. I have a tendency to do things I regret later when coming to a snag, so I just go away for awhile...come back and regroup. Like Stangfreak was saying...grab a beer or just something to drink...stare at it...study it and get back into it. Not trying to be your dad...just trying to give you some advice.

With that said I do know when working with the dash...it's very easy to kink a line whether it be vacuum or electrical. Sometimes so much so that it frays it and shorts or grounds the wire out by blowing a fuse, which should be the first thing you should check if your lights are not working? Sometimes also just simply not hooking it back up can happen very easily or a line disconnecting while your juggling the dash and it's components because I have tackled this job before and let me tell you it's a bitch to do a heater core job! When I got done...the car would not start. I was pissed to say the least. I went back and traced it to an ignition wire that I had pinched while putting the dash back together. Just go back and retrace your steps, step by step...you will find something that looks out of place. Hope this is of some help!
