14.8 at 5300 ft is like a 13.8-13.6 at sea level so it's not that bad. I'm not a bad driver. I have basic boltons with sub par heads a crappy cam all sucking through a stock intake and throttle body. I I pulled a 2.0 60 with bald all season tires. All the parts are hand me down parts so for free I'm rocking em So I'm confused bolt the parts on and try him or wait for a 347? Oh and stock foxes here trap high eightys to a flat 90 here. My buddys sn95 with a 2.1 60 did a 16.0 15.9 at 89mph. High comp f body, huge cam, heads, slicks and a trans break does mid twelves gutted here. That's why I want an hp kit to help offset the loss of power here

Honestly i would just wait, you will be spending extra money, i dont know where you live but for me in michigan i storing mine for the winter and working on getting new heads and a cam. If you have winter where you are just hold of, work on it then and before you know it you'll have it out in the late spring. Meanwhile let him think hes cool, the more he talks shit the better it will be when you finish your car and burn him every day from then on out.
You will just be spending extra money. I think you should hold off, work hard this winter and have the beast on next spring. I wouldnt bother buying a cam if you going to have a new Custom grind cam in 4 Months, just not practical. meanwhile i would just take his shit, and save up for the 347. In my opinion it will be that much better when you can finally shove his foot in his mouth and smoke him every day. Not only that but it will save you money and help your reach your 347 goal faster if you just focus and save. Im in the same boat i have a buddy with a S/C'd Honda Civic who is talking mad shit. But i think its just going to be so great when next spring when i have new heads and a cam on and my car is all togeather and done. letting him talk mad shit now will only make the victory that much sweeter, but thats just my opinion. |

cool I think I'm gunna take your advice and wait. In fact I got motivated today and took some pictures of some gt40 non p heads I have do I can throw em up on eBay to put towards my 347. I guess on the bright side and can still pop the 200 shot any time I feel like dusting him for now. Last time I sprayed him it could have been bus lenghths
