I don't know what they put out stock, I think some new emissions stuff brought power down. They also don't have forged internals, which won't be much of an issue for me since I don't plan to add boost.

I will probably delete EGR, smog pump, and catalytic converters very quickly since Ohio no longer has Emissions Checks, and swapping in some GT-40P heads with new rods, lifters, cam, springs, etc with H-Pipe exhaust, I should get some decent power, and 3.73 gears will get it to the ground

I really want something with a nice interior, and 94-04 'Stangs have one of my favorite stock interiors on any car.
Just my 2 cents here but in my years of dating I have never took a chick out in any of my nice cars at first. I would pick them up in my pos just to see if they were gold diggers or not. Any of them complain about the car, I took em home and on to the next one. Next thing is your out with your boys driving your nice ride, they see you and want to hook back up.... Notttttttttttttt! If you think you need a car to get a girl, not good!!!! I have had 2 96 gt's and a 98 cobra, and would rather have my 91gt, fox all the way.....

Im a Fox guy, but i think the SN95's - the 99's are cool and everything. But i just see them EVERYWHERE! Around hear you rearly ever see a Fox. Thats what drew me to them. Its something different.

But thats just my opinion, really its up to you. Either way welcome to the 5.0 Forum

I would like to have another fox, but a notch this time. By the way that notch is HOT freak. Love the pic purging. And you already know how i feel about your car Opal that thing is the definition of sexy. But to the OP just a word of advice. I have always had nice cars, at one time I had a new escalade, a new 02 vette vert., 2 brand new silverado 4x4's, and a jeep on 44's. I also had a old ass chevy dually with a wrecker bed (I used to do repos) and I finally started driving it out when I met girls until like the 4th or 5th time we went out.. If I could pick them up in a tow truck with primer then I knew they werent in it for the $crilla. Dont get a car to pick up chicks. get what you like

LOL I am building this one for my wife. I would like to find a notch to do a big block based stroker on for me. She doesnt like the fox at all so I comprimised and got the sn95 so we could both enjoy it. But its not your basic girly car by any means and you are married you know how it goes if she is happy than you can spend money on your toys

I'm not getting the car to pick up chicks, but I am tired of having girls offer to drive after seeing my car lol. I really like the SN body style, would prefer the boxier 99-up body, but its out of my price range and lacks the 5.0 I like fox bodies too, but this will be my only car, and I want something with a nicer interior

So basically nothing especially concerning to watch out for with SN 'Stangs? Just the basic warning signs like any car, rust, frame damage, major engine issues, etc.

That's pretty comforting then, knowing that I will be buying a reliable car since it will be my only mode of transportation

how is a fox much cheaper to build? I'm not going to be doing anything crazy with it, just heads, valves/lifters, gears, intake, headers exhaust

and then maybe a little suspension work, lower it, and cosmetic stuff like tints, grill delete, etc.

can't see a fox being hardly any cheaper to do the same mods on, and wouldn't be as nice for a DD
