suspension help 60 ft times


i have a 87 fox w a procharger f1r that i use for strip. so far my best et is 10.3 at 134. my 60fts are around 1.50-1.48. i want to lower my 60 ft times to 1.30s. right now i have front and rear coil overs, upr's adj upper and lower control arms. i just ordered a set of strange 10 way adj shocks for the back and upr's double anti roll bar. in the front im thinking of getting lakewoods 90/10 struts up in front . any suggestions?

first off nice times. is it a stick or auto? if its a auto a trans brake works wonders and I would run the strange struts up front also. have you set the pinion angle? what tires you running. the anti. roll should also help you.

its auto c4, im using 28x10.5 tire. right now i have my pinion set to -2. im anxious for the roll bar to get in! are you using starge on your ride?

yes I am using Strange in the front and Chassis engineering on the rear. How much stall do you have. do you run a trans brake. what rear gear are your running? my friend is getting into the 1.30 60ft but he runs a 351C with a 150 shot off the line and his car is mini. tubed he has a 325 radial on his and 4.56 gears. my other friend is getting 1.30s but he was running a stick not sure what he is getting now he has a glide and a brake in it but he is a N/A 427 and runs in the 9s with 4.56 to I think. Our old set up had 1.50 60s also but it only ran 10.98 at 125 was the best mph with 3.73 and a 28 tire. our new set up the best so far has been 1.73 60s but it has run 10.78 at 134mph and that was with only a 1.80 60 so we really need to work on our 60s the new cam should help out alot those times was the first time down the 1/4 so I was happy with that. so far. we really need to get a brake in the car. But we also only run 331 gears and a 28 tall tire. are you spinning or hooking and getting them 60s?

There are alot of factors involved. Like uedlose said, post your entire combo.

How old are the tires? Plan on replacing them at the begining of the season every year no matter how much wear is left on them. When you start making good horsepower, marginal tires will make a huge difference in ET. The compound of race tires deteriorates. Faster cars will notice a difference while slower cars can usually get away with using the same tires for a few seasons.

my combo is a 393 8:1, howards custom cam, afr 225, 950 carb, procharger f1r, pa c4 auto, 5000 stall, trans brake, now strange struts in back, lakewoods 90/10s in front, upr upper/lower control arms, k member,front and rear coil overs. upr anti roll bar. the car weighs about 2850. my m/t slicks are about a year old. honestly im stuck on trying to get the dam car in the 9's

i just read through some of your old posts man you have been here for a while you just dont post much?? you just use us then go lol.

so why did you go with a 5000 stall? or is it kike a 4500 and its just stalling at 5000 on the break? i bet that thing hates driving on the street mine was stalling at like 4300 and it sucked on the street. i have a 4000 true stall on the way,well that was on a 600hp car mine is a little less so it will proly stall about 3700 but that will be perfect.how tall is your tire on that?
how did you fix your tranny problem what was causing them to go bad?

no kidding huh! i own a buissness so im freaking busy 24 7! racing is my therapy!! i use my car for the strip only, 5000 stall and 4.10s are not gonna like cruising. my tire size is 28x11.5
