Are the motor mounts the same for a 5.0 and a 351? because it seems like my drive train leans to the right and i dont know why.

you need new mounts...
that's the way the engine torques...

hmm...do you have subframe connectors? Sounds like your body's twisted as fuck. Measure the distance between the ground and the top of each fender opening with the car parked on level ground. That'll tell you how bad it's twisted, if it is. ANd bad motor mounts that have been bad for sometime make it worse.

EDIT: wasn't this the car you saved from the crusher?

if the mounts themselves are good you can loosen them and lift it from under it with a jack ad shift it. but if they are stock mounts i bet they are bad.

yes this is the engine that i saved from the crusher but i found this shell to put it in.

I doubt the frame is twisted but i will go measure what you said right now to double check...

I gota find a place to buy harder mounts so it doesnt torque over so bad

EDIT: yeah i have subframe connectors and a 8 point cage. the car has a lot of support.

IMO solids suck. they are great if you are just gonna drag the car but not if you want to drive it on the road. the vibrations are TERRIBLE! and i also blame my solids for cracking my bellhousing on my AOD in half.

I would go with the solids. I bought the cheap ass ones for my car off eBay and there is hardly and difference in vibrations there cheap as shit and strong as he'll I've put like 14,000 miles on mine with like at least 6 bottles worth of 200 shot. But I have a t5 so I'm not sure on the bell housing thing

thats why you get the rubber tranny mount cause something needs to move.

poly mounts would be optimal all the way around but they are so damn expensive..

Does poly mounts raise the engine, or will it stay the same height as with stock mounts?

I just bought new convertible style motor mounts for my car. There smaller than the stock block style, and they have loops so if they brake than the motor stays locked in and can't jump out which causes damage to the hood.
