picked up my 351w block for 50 bucks... and now i got my shoppin list together and just waitin for snow to fall so i can get the old motor out and start workin on makin the engine bay all purty for the new motor when its done!

lol whats up joey im 19 with basically the same idea as u and ive changed my mind so many times as to what I wanted to do with my car is crazy, but i did come to realize this though..... at first i wanted a 331 stroker but thats cause i wanted to keep it on the street now i want a 408 only reason for that though is because i know i want another car to drive on the street. I pretty much came to the conclusion that if your gonna go big do it right cause i figure if i drive that 408 on the street alot it would kill me on gas. but anyway about prices though yeah u will get alot different answers the best thing to do (or what i did) is to sit down map out ur goals for the car then go to your favorite parts website and start picking out stuff but keep in mind u can get some stuff used to cut down on cost.

oh and one more thing to add to my long post dont forget u gotta have the suspension,rear end, transmission all that beefed up to handle the kinda torque a 408 will put out so prepare for more money

about handling the extra torque my car itself is beefed i belive it could handle most motors.

price really isn't a issue with me because if i cannot build the motor this winter i am leaving for the marines in june and when i get back from boot camp i should have about 7 grand that i can build a nice motor with or get a really nice start on one.

When I was 18 i drove a 1986 chevy eurosport rust bucket. I was still able to pull the bitches in that pimp ride. If your game is right it doesn't matter what you drive.
