Why are you set on using the PCV? I usually run seafoam through any vacuum line high up in the intake manifold/plenum, but past the MAF and Throttle Body on most cars. I want it to go through the entire motor

Suck 1/3 to 1/2 a can up through one of the vacuum lines, shut off the car for about 10 minutes and run it until the exhaust stops smoking

1/2 can or so in a full tank of gas, and 1/3 can or so into the oil

drive about 100 miles and change the oil

did my reply help you out? It would be a good idea to replace the PCV valve while you're at it, but you don't have to run the seafoam through the PCV necessarily, a vacuum line high up in the intake manifold is best from my experience

also, how critical is it to change the oil ? I might just wait to seafoam because my oil is relatively new, i just changed it a couple hundred miles ago,.. so i dont plan on swapping for about another 1k

what I was told was if I put it in my oil that changing the oil soon was critical because of all the garbage that might start floating around or something like that, but I dont know how true it is... Ive never ran seafoam in my oil I just use the vacuum lines, brake booster and PCV

Well Seafoam will break down the oil, i usually put it in my oil about 100 miles before changing the oil

The next oil change your oil will come out a lot cleaner, i only seafoam about once every 2-3 oil changes, and when i do, i do vacuum, gas, and oil

I've always been a little skeptical about using any type of motor flush. My fear is not based on experience so I could be totally wrong here. Driving around for 100 or so miles or breaking up what might be in there and allowing to collect or go somewhere else does not seem like a good idea. It seems like one of the last resorts when you actually have a problem, not something you would want to do just because. Some cars DO have known sludge build up issues but the 5.0 is not one of them. It would be interesting to do a before and after look at the oil pan and oil pickup area after doing one.

The main use of Seafoam is to clean all the crap out of the motor. Running it through the vacuum lines cleanes out carbon deposits, in the gas cleans the fuel system and injectors, and in the oil will clean sticky lifters, minor sludge build-up, etc.
