Idle reset question

I am following the instructions for the base idle reset and im at the part where i have to verify the voltage at the iac and i do not know what setting to mut my multi meter on. Also, im not quite sure what my iac is. I thought it was that round thing on my throttlebody, but the wires are not the same color as what is in the guide.

I think you mean the TPS.. But anyway you should set your volt meter to measure DC voltage.. What setting depends on the increments of the meter.. But your not gonna get a reading of anything over 5VDC.. I don't think there is any reason to measure voltage of the IAC for idle reset.. The TPS is the rounded thing on top of your throttle body.. It is voltage potentiometer that increases voltage as the throttle blade opens.. Hope i could help...
