If the car in fact weighs 2600 pounds with you in it, it better go high 12s or there is something wrong.

not this one but i weighed my hatch at 2650 (rounded) with me in it. notches are lighter anyways and the same weight reduction is done to this as to my hatch. and the hatch had heavy ass 16" ghetto smasher wheels. this one has 3 spoke mags on the front and those slotted factory wheels on the back. way lighter than the ghetto smashers

well if its lighter than the hatch already, has the same stuff taken out, and has lighter wheels what makes you think its not gonna be around the same weight? if not less. it doesnt even have the wiring harness in it anymore either.

Seriously, 2600 lbs? I thought Stock Notches were about 2850 and Hatches (GT) were about 3150lbs?

Are these cars lighter than i think they are? What about the Hatch GT (87). Would love to know if im way off but i did some research, but again i could be wrong. But would love to know if anyone knows.

Btw ya got gears in this badboy, or planning on it?

i dont know what the notches weigh. all i know is my hatch weighed in roughly at 2600 lbs. this car is fully gutted just like the notch.

im not sure what gears are in it. ill be checking as soon as i get the tires put on the front and get the front off jackstands. the dude who had it before me raced it so who knows it might have a set of gears. i know it had an auto tranny. dont know if it was 3 speed or AOD.

+1 and use an accurate scale system - not truck stop or salvage yard scales...
