i really have no idea what to do plz help


ok my trans is shot i guess im missing a gear a tech at teds trans said its third gear i think im missing first.

now here's my problem i have around 500 bucks and i can buy a done up c4 with a 3k stall for 900.00 but i dont have that much.

what should i do drop my c6 and try to fix it?

save up for the done up c4

or just go out and buy a low miles c6 cheap for a temporary trans till i can get enough money to buy a race one. ( i say buy c6 over c4 because c6 is stronger )

please i need advice guys

If you have any mechanical ability at all and the tool that cost me $100 and a book you can build a C4 they are easy to do. Now don't get me wrong making them last a the 600 hp level or more takes some work and some tricks. but they are not bad to do at all

hmm yeah my dad is very smart with cars but not so much with transmissions. thanks for the ebay link im going to bid 500 bucks for it and hope i win lmao.

stronger? you dont have enough power to break a built c4 or AOD.

how did you come to this conclusion?

i already broke a c6.

i need a trans that can handle 400 hp roughly

he is talking about the fact that a built c4 is a hell of a lot stronger than a c6 is all.

ohh ok i misunderstood him. yeah hes right thats why im going to just skip the bs and get a built c4 and be done with the problems for a while.

I was always under the impression that the only thing a c6 was good for is boat anchors.

you guy's cant be serious. any stock c-6 can handle 400hp,they were factory big block/truck tranny's. c-4's can be easier to build because there's more aftermarket support for them but are far inferior to an equally built c-6. plus in this case switching to a c-4 means you will have to buy a bell housing,flexplate,driveshaft,etc.,etc. pull out the c-6 & get it rebuilt, 500.00 should cover it fine.
