Ok here's the deal, I have a 79 mustang with what as Far as i know is the stock cable. I put a holley 700cfm double pumper on my 351w. When the pedal is on the floor you are only opening like 1/3 of the throttle on the carb. The shop says I need a new different cable. I know I'm not the first guy to put a holley double pumper in a fox mustang V8, So what cable should i get for my application guys?

What are you using for a throttle bracket? On all of my carbureted cars I use an 85 Mustang GT manual transmission throttle cable and an AED throttle bracket. Never had a problem.

i think the stock bracket. But I don't think it's the bracket because the cable is all the way out as much as it can be, then you put the pedal to the floor and you only give the carb 1/3 throttle. The guys at the shop said they adjusted it as much as they could, still not even close. So I'm guessing I need a longer cable?

The bracket makes a big difference. Stock brackets suck for custom applications. The AED bracket is adjustable which allows cable adjustment. Also the throttle cable you are using might be causing issues because it is for a different style 2 barrel carburetor.
