and you can rebuild it to be locked diff?

You can not make an open differential a traction lock. You physically need to swap the differential out.

the diff is the pumpkin looking thing in the middle?

ok so basically if it is LSD then just rebuild the rear.

if it is open diff then we might as well just swap the rear.

am i on the money here?
