89 gt vortech

I have a 89 mustang gt the car is bone stock with shorties and a off road h-pipe. Car is also a auto with a 4.11 rear. I just put a vortech s trim on it with 10psi. Befor i put the blower on there it went 14.60 @90mph i took it to the track yesterday and it went 12.42 @108. With a 1.66 60ft. Is that a good time for wat i have or no.

That's a great time! 12s are no joke and you're doing well considering the mods.

Yeah if your all stock thats not bad at all, but i would try 15lbs of boost just to see how it runs.

But if i had a few hundred bucks i would get a different cam if my car was all stock but S/Ced. Just b/c the stock cam, well its stock i dunno how well and how long it will run on 15lbs of boost. And also if you changed the cam to something better, like a s/c cam or maybe even a Trick Flow cam it would prob help you out even more, for only a couple hundred more bucks.

my goal is to see how fast i can get the car to go on h/c/i. I would like to see the car go high 11's before i put a new motor in it. Also the car has 140k on it lol.

weight reductions will help. But it might be tough with stock everything but S/C but who knows. But weight reduction will deff. help. And its free.

Maybe gapping plugs a little smaller then the factory setting (30-35 seems to be what most people with boost use). If it was me, I'd at least get some A/F numbers before going with a higher boost. The heat of the intake charge after being compressed by the compressor + effective engine compression with boosted air can equal disaster without the right amount of fuel and timing.
