Is it my power steering pump or my Rack & pinion thats b
I replaced my rack today because my other one was leakink real bad. I replaced it with a used one. Now before I removed the old one my pump made no noise at all. However now its making noise. I beleive I have gotten all the air out of it. At first it was real noisy and my fluid level dropped down twice. But I have it full and it hasn't moved it does have a thin layer of foam right on top. If the car is idleing it doesn't make any noise but if you turn the wheel either way it makes noise then. If you give it gas it makes noise. The other reason I changed my rack out is because my wheel would not return on its own. If you turned the wheel either direction it would stay there and not come back around unless you made it.Pretty tricky at times driving. So I put this used rack in and upon driving it wont return on its own either if you turn the wheel to the left or right you have to bring it back on your own or you will continue to go in the direction the wheel is turned and now my pump is noisy. Any help would be appreciated.
