Engine swap question

I have an 84 5.0 carbed with a non HO engine.
I want to throw a 88 engine that i have around the garage into the car. Will my intake and carb bolt right onto the heads of the 88?
DO I need to change the heads to accept the carb and intake?
Thanks for any help
Cheers

can I just change the gear on the bottum or do I have to change the whole distributor. Will the distributor that is coming on the 88 fit into the carbed intake?

just change the gear on the bottom, on my 82 i had to change the gear on the bottom because the connections for the electrical were different and it had a vaccum advance.
