timing ?


iv got a 347 at 9.5:1 compression with dart victor sr. cast iron heads trick flow stage 2 cam edelbrock rpm air gap intake with a blow-through demon 650 carb and a paxton sn92.

i need to know what the timing should be at idle? right now its at 14 deg.

it should be set just below the point of detonation. Depending on fuel that could be anywhere from 12-18*

shit I'd be @ 10..that's a small carb depending on psi...should be a 750 atleast

That is a pretty mismatched combination....

The timing you will have to play with to see what the engine likes. Timing at idle isn't the important part, its the total timing under boost that is critical.
