I truly am starting to hate my damn car!!!

okay so i had posted a while back that i had a problem with the thermostat gasket leaking around the housing. Well i've today i replaced the gasket because the leak had gotten worse. I put a felpro gasket in it, and a new 180* thermostat to help it run a little cooler. put the coolant in start it up and it runs fine no leaks from around the housing, and the car ran fine i drove it for about 30 mins in town, and the temp never even got above the R in "N O R M A L". well then i went to work and about 5 hours later, drove the car 5 mins up the street to wendy's and sat in the drive through on the way back i noticed the temp had climbed to a little past the M. So i got back to work popped the hood checked to see if it was leaking from around the housing again...but nope dry as a bone, so at least i fixed that problem but it's still apparently leaking from somewhere. Went outside a few mins ago let the car idle in the parking lot for about 15 mins, and it went all the way back to the M again. so i backed the car up outta my spot, turned it off and see that a puddle of coolant is under the car again. Any other ideas of where this would be leaking from???? oh and i had the heater on and it stayed hotter than a whore in church. So it seems to have enough coolant so that the the heater is still working...i dunno i'm not having much luck with this car.

i checked the overflow and all the hoses are new except the bottom hose, i just never replaced it. I'm thinking it could be the cap because the car did overheat (got up to about the A in NORMAL) a few times. now when you cut the car off when its hot, you can hear the air pressure built up from it being hot. But i don't know if its actually leaking from around the cap, it doesn't appear to be to me though.I have no power loss at all because at first i thought maybe the block cracked, or headgasket or something like that but no coolant in the oil or oil in the coolant, and no power loss at all so i'm sure the block and heads are fine. So i have no clue at this point.

well if the cap is bad it would be coming out of the overflow. how about checking the water pump and radiator? i know mine had a dent in the top corner that was fine for about a year after i bought it then it started to leak.

you have to fill your coolant with the engin warm and running so that the thermostat opens and lets the coolant fill the radiator, engine, and heater core. Otherwise you don't fill it up fully, and fun into the problems your having.

yeah man, leave the cap off let it run and at it to it. IT helps to park it a on slight incline as well.
