Need some helps/thoughts/opinions

Well i pick up a 94 convertible for 500 dollars its a v6 car but easliy converted from what i hear i picked up a complete engine for 100 dollars. i was thinking about a 347 stroker with a supercharger perhaps kenne bell. SO the questions is is it possible and if so how can i keep the compression low. Just Let me know if you think a certain set up should be obtained or what not.

anything is possible although if you have to ask how to keep the compression low i could be wrong...

well im new to the performance and in my opinion performance is a learned art from trial and error but i kinda thought the whole idea behind a 347 stroker was high compression i could be wrong

I think for boosted cars, they retard the ingnition timing to control detonation and has something to do about compression, also you can find low compression pistions. I just googled supercharger retard timing and compression. and found some tips

Just because you have a 347 does not mean high compression. You can build the motor for any application you want. If you want a all motor 347 like myself then toy go the high compression route. I have 11:1 in my motor. If you plan on using a power adder then you build the motor with lower compression by using dished pistions. Changing the timing will not change your compression that just changes when the ignition fires. yes when you use a power adder...turbo, supercharger, nitrous you do have to retard the timing so you will not detonate in the cylinders. If you do go with a power adder it is always best to get it dyno tuned and a chip burned or like myself you can go with a programmable management system and a wide-band o2 and you dont need a dyno unless you want to know how much hp you have..
