Emergency brake light

A few weeks back when I was driving I heard a loud pop from the rear end of my car then the emergency brake light came on then about 15 seconds later the light went off.
For the next couple of days the light would randomly come on then go off again so I took it a couple of places and had everything checked out and they told everything was fine but when I drive over 3500 rpm and let off the gas it comes back on again.

Anyone know what could be causing this?

make sure your resevoir for brake fluid is full... if its low, the float will trigger the light causin it to come on under acceleration the fluid goes to the back and the float falls forward!!! try that and let me know how that goes... u probably just backfired, causin a pop from the rearend

Try fillin it and then do what u do when the light goes on and let me know

i had a similar prob

Make sure you actually have a leak. As the pads and shoes wear down, more fluid stays in the wheel cylinders and the pistons and less in the reservoir. New pads and shoes can bring the level back up again. I know you said you are changing the lines but a leak could be from from a wheel cylinder seal or the piston seal, not the actual lines.
