rear end


Anyone on here build there own 8.8 . Mine is acting up and needs to come out. Also what did you guys install.

Whats acting up? Getting the one wheel peel? As far as what you want to do with it depends on your future plans. You can upgrade to 31 spline if you plan on serious power down the road. Or you can simply pull it and replace the bearings clutch pack and whatever else ie.. ring and pinion. All depends on the condition of the center section if the spyder gears are shot you might want to upgrade.

No, it still spins posi, but it jurks and clunks from time to time. I was thinking 31 spline axles, 4.10's and a posi spool. I just want to hook it up the first time around so I can focus on the motor.

if it's clunking, it could be a bad u joint. Check r&p backlash and see how close it is to spec.

I would pull it out and get new a new clutch pack kit and rebuild it, new bearings and upgrade your gears!
