New AFR head
Caught this over on Corall. Any thoughts on these?
Who wants to be the test rat. LOL This is from jason at AFR ![]() This is actually a 12.5 degree intake/ and a 14.5 degree exhaust valve angle. Not the other way around. Yes it will clear your factory shortblock with a reasonable cam(Except 86 of course). It was flowed on a 4.060" bore with a 1 3/4" pipe, not a magic 4.600" SBF bore that I would personally like to own, LOL Yes this is a rotated chamber design. Yes you can use a regular rocker. There are no usable heads available to the public yet. We expect to be able to sell them by the first of the year, spring at the latest. We will make larger versions and are on the fence about a 175cc version. Stock exhaust port height. Standard style intake manifold. The part numbers might change for production reasons. The solid roller versions will most likely option to a standard 7/16" stud and will definitely be 10 degree, like all of our product. Yes the flow numbers are actually that good (Probably a hair better by the time we reach full production I will be at the SEMA show all day tomorrow, so please keep it as civilized as possible Have a great day guys, Jason __________________ AFR Tech/Sales (661) 257-8124 Ext. 124 Direct line (661) 705-8520 Feel free to call, E-mail, or PM me anytime

You mean Cleveland design or um a yates design. Come on you guys crack me up the "twisted design" has been used way before trickflow was even a company.

dont think he was talking about the twisted design alone. Think he was talking about the way the head flows it flows about the same as the 185 trick flows and the other specs
Airflow Chart for Ported 185cc Track Heat Heads: Lift Value (in.) - Intake Flow - Exhaust Flow Inches - CFM - CFM 0.100 - 072 - 058 0.200 - 142 - 112 0.300 - 216 - 150 0.400 - 258 - 192 0.500 - 287 - 220 0.600 - 301 - 231 Tests conducted at 28 in. of water (pressure) Intake valve size 2.020 in./exhaust valve size 1.600 in

no shit sherlock, I am talking about all the hype o how there "stockish" angle heads were so much better and made more power than a 12-15 degree angle head with a rotated chamber (aka TFS heads) , and now voila, they have a 12 degree head with a rotated chamber, because we all know it makes more power. Carry on,...........

I don't know squat about heads but from a marketing angle...
It could either be a case of, someone else is doing it and they are selling well so we will jump on board too or they may see a potential advantage of that design and they will offer it as well. Either way, they are making them.
