idle problem, I can't get it down from 1g sometimes it drops

I have a idle problem too, i drive it and come to a stop and it stays up to 1g and my steering wheel shakes but when it is idling at 700 or 650 it doesn't. I can't hardly get it to drop immediatly when i stop, it wants to stay up, and when i get on it hard it revs up about 1500 and wont come down till i turn my car off, let me know if u know what I can check out.. thanks

iac, maf, idle screw...i had a horrible idle and when i rebuilt the engine for the gaskets a week ago, the idle problem went away. Good luck with that

what did u change to slow it down?

i sped mine up. Mine would barely stay running at 550 rpms...i messed with the throttle screw and set it around 800. I would rather it run at higher rpms and stay running than too low and die.
