Breather caps

I've heard not to put one on an EFI car. But my old s10 blazer with a TBI 305 had one and it ran just fine. I have an older one from the blazer I want to put on my 5.0 for purely cosmetic reasons. Would this cause problems? I'm not worried about emissions because I don't have to pass smog in my county.

Here's what mine looks like

Wouldn't these cause more of a problem than one like mine? I would think mine would restrict the flow more than this one which i guess is better?

Let me know guys thanks.

If you are still running the stock PCV set up than you dont want to run an open breather as it will be sucking in unmetered air. If you are dead set on running that breather than do away with the PCV and run one breather on each cover.
