cam and lifers

one of my friends has a 95 5.0... his lifters are rattling bad... we want to replace them and replace the cam as well Lunati Bracket Mater 2 Adv. Duration: 292°/292°
Gross Lift: .512''/.512''
RPM Range: 2000-6000
will this b a good cam? will i need to pull the motor or will it be easyer/faster to leave it in the car?... i do have a lift and an engine hoist
