How much nitrous can a stock 5.0 handle?

I just purchased a 81 mustang coupe with a freshly built 306 and 5 speed. I don't plan on doing anything to the car except for suspension and a 5 lug swap/gears. I want to throw some nitrous at it but unsure how much it can handle before it would go boom!!! It will be kinda a weekend street/track car. So it wont be driven a lot. Whats the best shot for the block?

there are too many factors to tell for sure. But in stock form 200 seems to be the a good stopping point.

Oh ok....Great....Would I need to tune it or would I be able to just take out timing and let her rip?

My 81 coupe is carbed...dont know much about tunning a carb car. Do I just get a wide band and adjust the jets?

I have a 200 on mine I've dont everything to 100-200. 150 is a good stoping point just don't ever jet up or you'll never want to go back lol. I did over 20 bottles through my stock motor with 188,000 mile befor i had to yank it and freshen it up and I'm still spraying 200 with zero issues. Just don't get greedy with the timing the extra ten horses from more timing just isn't worth it.
