Wow...Well, guess I will have to hold off for a little longer. But who knows. I will keep that in mind though.

Is the E97 Explorer intake any good?

OK. Thanks......I figure with the GT40 heads, a cam, and some slicks I should be able to get into the 12's. Hopefully. I am going to be taking out the smog pump and AC soon. Gotta put this bitch on a diet.

you should be in the 12's. i had a stock EFI 302 with a few free mods and a/c, smog, and p/s delete runnin 13.6 @ 101 with 1.9 60' on street tires. it was gutted out with 2 front seats, and a hollowed dash, no a/c or heater components behind dash, no bumpers in front or back, no front sway bar, no nothin. weighed 2650 without me in it. you should be good for 12's and have no prob gettin there.

Thanks. Right now I am just bypassing the Smog. I want to completely remove the AC and Smog pump. How easy is it to do it. is there anything to patch up after you remove it?

If your ganna bypass smog, you might as well take it all off. Take all the smog peices off and just run a shorter belt. It's that easy.

I have the shorter belt already for the car and everything fits. But I want to remove it totally like you said. Just wondering how easy and what is needed.

you just unbolt the pump from the mounting bracket. Then unbolt that metal peice that goes around the heads then yank it out.

Pass on that F-cam. There are much better options. The F-cam has a pretty peaky power curve where as others like the E303 cam is more of a broader curve. There are much better options out there than the 20+ year old Ford Racing cam grinds. Good deals on parts doesn't mean you are going to make any horsepower.
