Engine idea's

So im probably going to throw in a 351W into the '85 that I have but today I was thinking while I was on the road. What ford diesel engines would fit into this body? I thought of the idea that it would be fun to build a strong diesel running mustang. Think this is a bad idea? I know I'd end up turbo'ing the beast.
If their is an engine that would fit, what would be an estimate for building a street/strip?

Any diesel engine that would be "fast" in a mustang would be so heavy that a mustang front susp. would not carry it.

i think cummins makes a V6 diesel. but why would you wanna do that? if your gonna go thru that much trouble and spend that much money you could do a nice lil 351.

Yea thats what i figured. I thought it would be nice to throw in a 6.4L powerstroke and make a torque monster out of it but i dont have funds for a project like that...unless I sell the house lol.

very very true, kind of a waste of money.. price on fuel is lowering but still i would personally rather have a 408 then any diesel engine.
