Thats less of a ratio than I was expecting. Badass motor, badass chasis, and a badass driver, I'm assuming.

They should have an all out stock shortblock class, any power adder, 10.5, no boss, or 351...

I think that would be cool, it would prolly put the tracks cleanup crew at work alot more tho.

Compression Ratio im not 100% sure on, the guy i bought the car from said it was something like 10.5:1 or 11:1 some where in that area...it is a CHP shortblock, nothing too fancy, just a 2 bolt main with a girdle...but im gathering the AFR's are known as garbage around here...

Don't buy that Comp Cam. If you are truly disappointed with your combo, you need to just start by completely re-doing your top end. Bigger heads for starters... I think the AFR 205's would be a good choice, but that's just my opinion. The biggest trick flow heads you can find would be even better... As far as an intake goes... look into the Eddy Performer RPM II... they have great flow numbers and I have a friend with a 347 in his 95 who switched to an RPM II from his track heat intake and picked up around 20 rwhp. Please don't put another off-the-shelf cam in there. AFTER you get the heads and intake that you want (you could port/polish them to match too...) then call up Jay Allen at Camshaft Innovations and have him custom grind you a cam that is specific to your combo. Guaranteed you will be surprised at how much power you make. Good luck man...

A Holley Systemax added 42rwhp to my set up. Additionally, it added 38rwhp to my friend's and he has an "F" cam. I have a Comp Cams XE266HR. Both are 331 C.I. with AFR 185's, full exhaust, 3.73, etc and both run low 12's granny shifting on drag radials.

Hope it helps.

A systemax added 42rwhp to your naturally aspirated 12 second car? Lets see some dyno sheets.
