the windshield took most of the force.. The hood is not that bad to have ripped off the car at 35mph .lol

the hood on my 89 came up the day i got it. Not because the pins werent in, but because the car was already wrecked and the hood wouldnt latch. it still scared the piss out of me.

Man I know just how you feel! Mine flew off last night! I finally got the engine started after being stuck at a taco bell for an hour and i forgot to put the hood pins back in, floorin it outta there and went up a bridge and it flew up and ripped apart! Luckily my widsheild didnt smash and it was a fiberglass hood so i bought a repair kit and fixed it up today. It did leave two huge dents above the windshield tho and they look like crap! I was so mad! i bet u were too

that sux man. sorry to hear and see. maybe get a Bolt on fiberglass hood next time. i would think keep on taking off a hood and putting it on would be a real PITA.

this one is a bolt on.. it ripped off from the hood hinges at the rear. only pins in the front.

on the highway i can see my hood bounce up and down even though its latched, i sometimes worry about this but it usually goes away when a A BMW Roadster rolls beside you

Well I am $125 lighter now from the windshield. You can see the little dent on the top on the passenger side where the hood popped it.
