fuel relay

This is actually bout my uncles 89 gt. There is a fuel relay switch in the rear of the car underneath that is giving us a problem. Can this relay be replaced or the harness around it because there seems to be a shortage. As you can imagine if that relay shorts while driving the car shuts off and if u mess with the harness enough u can hear the pump come on. What should we do.

the fuel pump relay is underneith the driver seat. also the inertia switch could be jacked up that is behind the plastics on the inside of the hatch driver side behind the taillight.

Mine is in the engine compartment under the air filter box. I had to pay 90 dollars to find that out. The bad thing is I saw them there but did not know that was the relay for the fuel pump. Everyone said they were under the seat.
