running like doo doo


Well my top end kit went on my low compression 302. gt40p heads stock rockers cobra upper ported cobra lower and an fcam. IT hesitates hard core. No backfiring in the exhaust, and it occasionally stalls. But has no problems cranking up for a cold start. Note I have stock maf and injectors. Also when I give it gas it goes no where.

u need to get a MAF calibrated for 24s. also check everything over 2, 3 or 4 times

Why would I get it calibrated for 24 pounders when I have the stock maf, and stock 19 pounders lol? Stock injectors maf and pump should be sufficient enough for my set up right now.

dam dude should be running perfect, i pulled my usless chip out with my 7 cylinder tune and my car runs fine untuned at the moment, maybe your timing is completely fucked or firing order got switched slightly somehow

sounds like timing is off , or too much fuel or not enough fuel , get the fuel pressure checked and see what its at

It sounds like the timing is off. Mine did kind of the same thing when I put my cam in. When you installed the timing chain and gears did you do everything top dead center and were the gears straight up retard or advance? Also check the distributor to see if it is in the right timing location. I would get a timing gun and see where the timing is at.

The timing of the cam has nothing to do with how the ignition timing reads.

Everything was top dead center with the timing chain and the number one one cylinder and what not. But I didn't degree the cam. I was told I could just throw that in, only one person said that could be it. I drove the car today it stalled whenever comming to a stop, and idled low as shit, didn't even cam. I got to pops out the exhaust between shifting gears.

A rocker arm bolt broke the other week. I dropped it off at a mechanics with the manifold off and distributer cap off as well. Also the timing went out of wack so he times it. Tomorrow I'm ganna take a timing gun to it, then mess with the idle screw I guess.
