84 mustang GT

Are most of the parts motor and drivetrain wise the same as the 86-93's? I know the bodys are slighty different but when looking for 5.0 parts it always says 86-93. I have come across a clean 84 GT for sale and was wondering if the parts were different.

Yeah I know, however I dont feel like tuning one either. I plan on building a decent motor and want something reliable for every day driving.
