irs conversion??


im buying a 03 04 cobrra and plan on swapping rearends out of my 95 cobra and making the 03 04 my drag car and making a road racer out on my 95 how do i go about this??






balance and blueprinted 306
forged internals
MASSIVE cam
345 hp at 7600!!
and then theres a 100 shot...

well in my opinion you'll be better off sticking with a solid axle

that sound like a cool idea especially since it will fit with only a few modifications.you gotta swap the pinion flange for one.I think brake cables may be different. dont forget the catback exhaust too.you should contact Maximum motorsports for some parts to fix some of the shortcomings of the IRS which isnt expensive but much easier to do while its out. the 03-04 IRS is very strong compared to the earlier ones.the IRS would give you a better ride and much more control over bumpy roads too.

its much more expensive to swap the rears.. than goin
to

Performance parts and accessories for late model mustangs, including new and recycled parts. and looking a solid rear axle conversation.. 1800..!

than buy irs convertion its 900..

the 95 rear is shorter than the 99-04 rears by around .5 inch to a .75 inch which may change stuff around when it comes to wheels. just make sure the spacing of your control arms mounts is the same.

i think you can actually use suspension off of a Super Coupe and it'll work.
