My 1994 Mustang Gt - I just got it last week.

I finally got a Mustang. I have been wanting one since 1985. It is a 1994 Gt with 2000 miles on the engine, and 56,000 actual miles on the car. The car was just sitting in a shed for several years, until my friend deceided to sell it due to hard times.

It has some places that need some touch up paint, the front seat has a tear in it, and there are a few other bugs to work out, but so far it has been a lot of fun to work on.

I replaced the timing cover, radiator, thermostat, belt, idler pulley, harmonic balancer, and I will get new hoses. The car was sitting for quite a while with bad water in it.

So far, I flushed the cooling system 4 times this weekend, and most of the sludge and trash is gone.

I paid $5000.00 for it.

Here is a youtube video of the car running. Let me know what you think!

The engine was built from the ground up a few years ago because the old engine was shot with nitrous too much and blew up.

I do know it has a competition cam, shorty headers, custom made exhaust by the mechanic, with H Pipe.

The block is different, high performance pistons, valves, rockers, crank, cam, etc.

I don't know the full details yet.

My friend just told the mechanic to build him an engine with around 450 HP.

He had two other Fox Body mustangs that he would race at Rockingham and other places.

This was his weekend driver car, but he needed to sell some of his toys, due to his work situation.

I will have to ask him more about it this week!

The engine is a 302.

My friend said that the DYNO Sheet said, 398 horse power at the rear wheels.

He can't find the sheet anymore, since it has been a few years ago.

Maybe you can tell me more about the actual horse power?

I am not trying to fool anyone about the car or it's horse power. I will have to get some more info on all of the parts. My buddy said he spent around $5000.00 on the engine when it was finished several years ago. He has a roofing company, and times are very slow, so he needed some money really quick. I have a boat worth about $10,000 that I have been trying to sell for months. The most that I have been offered is $4500.00. There is no way I can get rid of it for that price. Everyone is selling stuff for half price right now. It would kill me to give it away after all of the time and money I spent on it.

I don't really care exactly how much horse power the car has right now. After driving it, I was blown away at how fast it took off and sounded. I guess that is all that really matters to me at this point. I always wanted a Mustang, so I got one. It will be my weekend driver car, and I really want to take care of it. I will have to hold off on doing burnout videos. The tires are brand new, and I have only driven the car for a few miles so far.

Welcome! Pretty sexy, I really like the tail lights on the 94-95 mustangs. That cam and exhaust set up sounds pretty sick, similar to mine. I like the rim/tire set up as well!

My biggest piece of advice is to find out as many details about the car as you can. Especially internals, it will make a difference when you want to do forced induction, and believe me, soon enough you will

wasnt trying to sound like a prick its just a lot of people friends or not tend to inflate things when it comes to things like this. try to find out exactly what is done to the car and you will have a better idea....any way around its a nice car and sounds good and you got a great deal as far as I am concerned

Your car sounds good. That engine probably is not a 302. Since is has the parts you mentioned in it, it's almost certain the block is at least .030 over. Which would only put it at 306, but nonetheless, I have never heard of anyone replacing a block and completely going through the motor to set up for $450 HP and not, at the very least, bore the cylinders.

Not trying to argue, just making a comment.

You should join the Yellow Mustang Registry.

Thanks for your comments on the car. All I did was buy it, as is, so I can't be too proud of myself since I didn't build the engine.

I found the number 1 header bolt completely missing under the power steering pump a few days ago!

I ordered a set of 16 ARP safety locking bolts. I used to be an aircraft mechanic, until Sept 11 knocked me out of a job with US Air, so I know all about safety wiring bolts on jet engines.

Here are the bolts that I bought! I think they will do the trick!
